Meet Bulashi, our oldest living cow at Genesis Nguni. When she turned 10, graziers told us to send her to the meat-works because she was getting too old. Bulashi, still in good Swazi condition, just gave birth to Jabulani at age 16 1/2 years! She still leads the herd into the yards and down the race and still trains and cares for the weaners in the weaner paddock.
Bulashi came as an embryo from South Africa 17 years ago and survived all the perils that nature could throw at the herd.
